Puerto del Carmen is the oldest and biggest holiday resort on Lanzarote Two sweeping bays provide the backdrop for the beach frontage of this lively holiday destination.The original resort was based around the old fishing village of Puerto del Carmen but it now spreads from the Hotel Fariones for over 6 miles past Playa Pocilllos and Matagorda which is practically next to Lanzarote airport of Arricife. Restaurants and bars run the whole length virtually of the resort. Some hotels and complexes that aren`t front line can have difficult access for anyone not 100% mobile so be aware of this if you book Puerto del Carmen.
